The Swedish brand Myrqvist has updated its range of loafers with two new lasts with models in different designs. Here’s a closer look.
Myrqvist is the online store Herrstil’s private label shoes, which began as a successful Kickstarter campaign. First they were produced in Vietnam, then in India, now the shoes are made in Portugal. Affordable Goodyear welted shoes starting at €200. For spring, a new collection of loafers has been developed.
One model is a slightly more aggressive take on the penny loafer, with chiseled soft square last. It comes in four variants, black and dark brown leather and blue and dark brown suede. On a rounder last you also have four versions of a tassel loafer, the same as the penny but a medium brown suede version instead of blue. In addition, a light brown suede string loafer comes later this spring. The fit is updated from their previous loafers, now the lasts are a bit wider with slightlty higher instep than the previously tighter fitting lasts.
