As readers might know by now, I have a thing for Japan (not only their shoes), and one of my favourite collections I’ve seen by Japanese makers is made by Oriental Shoes, which has elements inspired by traditional Japanese culture, and look really awesome.
Pictured here are three versions of black calfskin loafers with different stylings that Oriental Shoes brought from traditional Japanese clothing. I think it’s lovely how one can merge two old things, welted footwear and this historic clothing, and achieve something completely new. Below some bonus pics of the collection.
