It’s summer, warm weather in many parts of the world, and one want to be as cool as possible. On ones feet, sandals or similar may not always be suitable, and unlined shoes may still feel a bit warm. So, this solution is not a bad one, unlined shoes with perforations all the way through.
These are samples by the Florence-based Japanese shoemaker Hidetaka Fukaya and his brand Il Micio. Made in reverse calf suede, and then with punches going all the way through. To become cool shoes one have to have some sort of pattern like this, where larger parts are perforated, a regular full brogue won’t be enough, but this both looks great and is likely lovely on the feet even in really warm temperatures.
