The sale season is here, and as usual I give you some advice about some of the ongoing sales of classic shoes around the internet.

Matthew Cookson

-

The French store Matthew Cookson sells private label shoes made mostly by Crockett & Jones and Santoni, and has broadened their sale offerings the recent years. This time there’s around ten models, which in most cases are available in many sizes. The discount is also quite generous, between 30-45%, which means that you can get a pair made to C&J benchgrade standard for about € 300.

Shipton & Heneage

-

The British “specimen” to Matthew Cookson, Shipton & Heneage, also has good sales and private label shoes made by, among others, Crockett & Jones, but because of the strong pound it may not be quite as beneficial. Quite possible to find some nice offers anyway, since the sale is quite large, with discounts of 20-30%.

Italigente

-

At the Swedish-Italian brand Italigente we have six of the 15 models available on sale, where there is a 30% discount. This means that the standard range is at €298, but one can also get the Italigente Basic series black plain cap toe oxford for only €189 (and if you live outside EU you can deduct the high Swedish VAT).

Pediwear

-

Pediwear has, as usual, a voluminous sales range with up to 30% off, just like its main rival Herring Shoes (whose sales started early and already appeared in this post)  In addition if you join their loyalty club you get an additional 5% off. Most of the online store’s brands are represented in the sale, including a lot of Alfred Sargents, some Tricker’s, Barker, Sanders and more.

Upper Shoes

-

French Upper Shoes tend to be on my sales lists, and they can be a little extra interesting for some of you since they often put on sale s rands which otherwise entitled rarely turn up at a discounted price, like Crockett & Jones and John Lobb Paris. This year, however, most are from among others Cordwainer, Santoni and Church’s, reduced by between 20-45%.

New & Lingwood

-

On sale at New & Lingwood has many fine shoes sold under its own name and made by among others Cheaney. They are reduced by between 20-30%. It’s mostly classic models on classic lasts, a couple of my favorites are the models in the fine brown suede shade fox suede, a Chelsea boot and a semi brogue oxford.

Spiga 3

-

A bit unusual that I provide tip on a sale with only one model (otherwise there’s only clothes on sale), but when it’s about the possibility to get Riccardo Bestettis handwelted RTW wholecut in burgundy for just €650 (6000 SEK) it feels like it might be of interest. Some sizes are still available in this model at Spiga 3.
