British Herring Shoes, one of the world’s largest online stores for classic men’s shoes, has now begun its large winter sale, offering a 30-50 percent discount on hundreds of models.
Herring is a bit unorthodox with its sale kicking off now in mid-December before Christmas, something they’ve been doing in recent years. This year, there are a lot of models that are reduced, and also quite substantially, usually by 30 percent, in some cases even 50 percent. In the vast majority of sizes there are at least 50 different models on sale, especially from their own Herring ranges, but also from Loake and Barker.
Among other things, there are a couple of different black plain cap toe oxfords on a bit rounder lasts part of the sale, so if this is something that one has been looking for now might be a good time to pull the trigger. For many it’s a shoe you don’t wear too often and don’t want to spend too much on, but you need to have it in the closet.
Note that Herring has a lot of shoes in corrected grain leather, as it is still popular in England despite the fact that the quality and durability are significantly worse, they are then referred to as “polished” where the color is indicated, instead of “calf” for full grain leather.
