Another year coming to an end, and another decade. A decade that has meant radical changes for myself, where I have gone from a given career as a journalist through a number of years as a communications manager to now working with shoes and e-commerce full time (80% at Skolyx, 20% for Shoegazing).

It’s obviously a great thing to work full time with what you are really passionate about. One of the highlights for me during the past year has been the launch of TLB Mallorca’s Artista range, where I worked with Skolyx very close with the TLB factory and where we succeeded in the ambition to really push the limit for what one gets in the midrange price segment of Goodyear welted shoes. For Shoegazing, the year has included a growing super trunk in London, continuing the success of world championship contests, events and contest in collaboration with Isetan Men’s in Tokyo, moved the English site to Shoegazing.com, launching the world’s first podcast on classic shoes, and much more.

Now 2020 stands is on the horizon, with other exciting new stuff, such as the premiere of a super trunk in Amsterdam on March 7. Have a wonderful evening and a good start to the new decade!
