Feels like it was just a few days ago that I wrote this post last year, but here we are again. A year is about to end, a new one is coming. A post from my new year’s celebration preparations, and a brief summary of what have been and an look into the future.
2024 was overall a great year, where we among other things put two more great super trunk shows to the books, in London and New York, and as always I’ve met so many great shoe people from around the world throughout the year. That’s probably one of my favourite part with running this blog. As much as I like shoes, what beats them is all the lovely and passionate people in this industry that I get to know, many of whom I’m now happy to call friends and enjoy meeting every year.
For 2025 there’s apart from the super trunk shows, with the London edition on May 10 and the New York one on October 4, I’ve also among other things am going to Northampton in England in February and my regular Japan trip in November planned. And some great shoes are to be delivered next year, expected are bespoke pairs from Patrick Frei (the long awaited ones are now ready!), Calzoleria Carlino, Seiji McCarthy and Main d’Or / Eiji Murata. I look forward to receiving these and share them with all of you. Happy New Year everyone!
