The summer sales of fine footwear has started to appear here and there, so it’s that time of the year where you can make a bargain especially on loafers and other more summer seasonal stuff. Here’s some good ongoing sales of quality shoes listed.
Barker
The British, Northampton based brand Barker runs a huge sale as usual, with lots of models from both their more properly made Goodyear welted welted UK manufactured stuff to cheaper things made abroad. Up to 50% discount and in several cases quite many sizes left.
Cavour
The Norwegian menswear store Cavour is a solid destination during sales periods. They have a bunch of welted shoes made for them in Spain and some other more casual offerings. The welted shoes are nice midrange stuff at RRP, now at 20% off you get a lot of shoes for your money.
Herring Shoes
Speaking of solid sales, the British online store Herring Shoes is one one can always count on for this. Hundreds of shoes on sale, apart from their own stuff you have footwear from brands like Cheaney, Carlos Santos, Loake, Red Wing and Barker. Big discounts in many cases, always worth checking out if they have anything you’re in need of.
Shoepassion
The German company Shoepassion ones sold solely welted shoes under their own name. Now they are more of a “simulated multi-brand store” with their three own brands Henry Stevens, N91 and Heinrich Dinkelacker (Shoepassion owns HD since many years, nowadays their shoes are made in Spain and Italy, so not handmade in Hungary anymore). Much less focus on classic quality stuff at Shoepassion nowadays, but there’s still a decent selection of Goodyear welted shoes etc, and at up to 40% discount now.
Bodiley’s
The Northampton based shoe store Bodiley’s has always been a bit behind in attention from its larger colleagues in the UK, but they stick around and continue to develop both their own range of locally produced shoes as well as being a retailer of Crockett & Jones. Part of their ongoing sale are both their own and C&J stuff, also quite popular styles are part of the sale.
Lester
Lester is a great shoe store in my hometown Gothenburg, Sweden, and in their sales section you can find goodies from among others Red Wing, Berwick, Cheaney, Sanders, Wolverine, Danner and their own brand Fiddler. Not always that many sizes left, but lots of different styles are part of the sale and good discounts of up to 40%.
