An event that will gather no less than 19 shoe and menswear brands that will exhibit, host the first Asian Championships of Shoe Shining, shoe care workshops, live shoemaking, several stage sessions, and much more. Third edition of the American edition of the super trunk shows took place the weekend before the last, a great day that gathered hundreds of shoe enthusiasts on Manhattan that browsed the offerings of shoe and menswear companies from around the globe. There were also a bunch of stage sessions on shoe care and shoemaking, the final of the U.S. champs of shoe shining, and more. Here’s a report with loads of photos from the day.
For those who can’t make it to New York today for the super trunk we will livestream here from the final of the U.S. Championships of Shoe Shining, which kicks off at 3pm EDT. We’ll also try to squeeze in a tour of the venue with all the exhibitors after the shine contest is finished.

The Super Trunk Show in London once again proved its position as a central meeting point for the world of quality men’s footwear. Throughout the day the venue was buzzing with activity, from the busy exhibitor floor to the three world championship finals, and countless conversations between makers, retailers, and shoe enthusiasts from across the globe.

There’s no secret that Japan is the leading country in the world when it comes to shoe shining. It’s also evident in their domestic shoe shine contest, which has been growing each year since it’s first edition a few years ago. This weekend the final rounds took place in Osaka, with Ryu Niita being crowned the new Japanese champion. Also a mention of an event on the world championships of shoemaking at Isetan Men’s in Tokyo Friday November 15.
