The American heritage footwear company Red Wing reintroduces one of it’s most requested models – the slightly dressier Beckman boot. It’s made with a Gro-cord half rubber sole, and news is that they’ve switched from the often criticised, hard to break-in Featherstone leather to the softer Excalibur.
They are seen as the most well-made and exclusive workwear boots in the world, with a current waiting time of six years. The mythical Japanese bootmaker Show Goto only makes twelve pairs of his handmade White Kloud boots a year, plus limited runs of the more basic Jack & White Bros boots. Shoegazing has visited him.

US dress shoe lovers have the NYC super trunk on October 14, but all workwear boot enthusiasts will get their fix the week before, with the first Stitchdown Boot Camp taking place in Brooklyn on October 6-7.
