Crockett & Jones have been worn by actor Daniel Craig in the two latest James Bond films, and now with the coming No Time to Die the British brand have deepened the relations with the production company, and developed a new version of their popular black wholecut oxford – named James.
Allegedly it was Daniel Craig himself who wanted to wear shoes from Crockett & Jones when he took on the role as the style icon character 007. In the two latest Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre, Crockett & Jones have been an official supplier for the film, where around 25 pairs of each model used have been delivered for Mr. Craig and his stunt men, and the Northampton firm has made special collections with the models featured in the films.
On November 12 the new James Bond film No Time to Die have its world premiere. For this Crockett & Jones have developed a new version of the Benchgrade black wholecut oxford Alex, which has been used a lot in both previous films. The limited edition model James is done with the finer Handgrade specifications with closed channel oak bark tanned leather sole, it’s on the same last, the chiseled 348 (normally only used for Benchgrade models, except for a few special edition crocodile leather models in the Handgrade range), and comes delivered in a special box with lasted 007 branded shoe trees and some other perks. Price is €930. Apart from the James model the Benchgrade black 3 eyelet derby Highbury with city rubber sole and the rough out suede chukka boot Molton are featured in the film, and part of this James Bond collection from Crockett & Jones.
That rubber City Sole must give Bond all the traction he needs! Again, I’m shaken by the price; but stirred to admire the handgrade quality 🙂 Darn, C & J are even more expensive on ebay now…A great British brand.
Tony
Anthony Jones: ? Yeah, not the cheapest brand, especially not when they do special edition stuff like this, but few make as solid stuff as C&J!
I whole-heartedly agree 🙂
