We now open the qualifications to the finals of the World Championships of Shoe Shining and the World Championships of Shoe Patina 2023, two prestigious contests organised together with Saphir. Finals take place at the London Super Trunk Show on Saturday May 13. The patina finalists will paint their shoes during the whole event, and the shoe shiners have 20 minutes to shine a shoe as lovely looking as they possibly can.

News – The Shoes for Life raffle, win bespoke shoes

Today the online charity raffle Shoes for Life was launched, where entrants can win their dream pair of bespoke shoes from a number of French bespoke shoemakers, at the value of €7,000, plus plenty of other shoes and other prizes at a value of over €10,000 in total. The contest is organised by the French shoemakers’ association CSNB together with Gustave Roussy’s institute for fight against cancer, to which all the funds from the contest will go to.

Time to announce the third World Championships in Shoemaking, where the final takes place during the London Super Trunk Show on May 7 2022 (postponed from 2020 and 2021 due to corona). In the prize pool is £6,000 (€7,000 / $7,700), handmade shoemaking awls, and a chance to be showcased for shoe lovers around the world. Here’s all the info about the competition.
