It’s not every day new brands that make shoes in their own factory in British Northampton pops up. Newman & Regent manufactures Goodyear welted RTW/MTO shoes in the lower midrange price segment, and also offers factory-made bespoke for about €850.

After ten years at Gaziano & Girling, Swedish bespoke shoemaker Daniel Wegan left the company this autumn to start his own brand. This spring, Catella Shoemaker is launched, where the reigning world champion in shoemaking can fully develop his vision of the perfect bespoke shoes.

In old industrial neighbourhoods in the slightly rough town of Kettering in eastern Northamptonshire, one of England’s largest manufacturers of Goodyear welted shoes, Loake Shoemaker, houses. Around 4,000 pairs of shoes are produced here each week.

Today the British premium brand Gaziano & Girling launched a brand new range: Classic. With more traditional last shapes and models and slightly less worked waists and other modifications, they step down a bit in price and open up for new customers.

It’s a pleasure to introduce this year’s edition of the world’s largest open event for classic shoes, the London Super Trunk Show, organised by Shoegazing and The Shoe Snob. On Saturday March 23, literally in the heart of London at a new venue on 12 Regent Street, we gather more than 10 brands from all over the world, interesting partners, there will be the World Championships in Shoe Shining and for the first time Shoe Patina, plus the World Championships in Shoemaking will have it’s award ceremony and competition shoes displayed. News – Foster & Son open a new Northampton factory

Tomorrow, October 25th, on the shoemaking saint Saint Crispin’s day, British bespoke shoemaker Foster & Son opens its new RTW factory, becoming the first new shoe factory in Northampton since 2006. This is part of increased international ambitions for its RTW shoes .

Report from the London Super Trunk Show 2018

Last weekend the second edition of the world’s largest open event for classic men’s shoe took place – the London Super Trunk Show 2018. An amazing day with more than 800 people from all over the world who came to have a closer look at all exhibitors and the World Championships in both shoe shining and shoemaking.
