After a long hiatus, this weekend it’s finally happening again, the London Super Trunk Show is back! Held in the heart of London at 12 Regent Street, gathering more than ten awesome exhibitors and hosting the World Championships in shoemaking, shoe shining and shoe patina. We can also announce a free shoe shining service by Saphir during the day. Here’s some practical info ahead of the event, for those who plan to visit, and on the live streaming we will do for those who can’t attend.
A Japanese, a Singaporean and a Norwegian in the shoe shining contest, and a Singaporean and two guys from France in the patina competition. These are the finalists of the world champs contests taking place during the London Super Trunk Show on May 7. See their submissions here.
We are very pleased to announce two new editions to the London Super Trunk Show on May 7: Acme Shoemaker, the highly praised Chinese maker of fully handmade RTW, MTO and bespoke, and the German brand Modum who aims at bringing affordable bespoke into the digital era with 3D scanning.
The qualifications are open to the finals of the World Championships in Shoe Shining and the World Championships in Shoe Patina 2022, two great contests organised together with Saphir. Finals take place at the London Super Trunk Show on Saturday May 7 2022. The patina finalists will paint their shoes during the whole event, and the shoe shiners have 20 minutes to shine a shoe as lovely looking as they possibly can.

It’s confirmed! On Saturday May 7 it’s finally time again for one of the world’s largest open event on classic shoes, The London Super Trunk Show, organised by Shoegazing and The Shoe Snob. In the middle of London on 12 Regent Street, we gather more than ten brands from all over the world, interesting partners, there will be the World Championships in Shoe Shining and Shoe Patina, plus the World Championships in Shoemaking will have it’s award ceremony and competition shoes displayed. Last Saturday the third edition of the London super trunk took place, the world’s largest open event for classic men’s shoes. A huge success with new visitor record, around 1,000 people came into the doors throughout the day, to look and buy from the ten exhibitors, partners and follow the World Championships in shoe shining, shoe patina and shoemaking.
In this post we will live stream the two sessions at the stage area during today’s big event, at 15.00 GMT is the final of the World Championships in Shoe Shining, and at 17.30 GMT it’s award ceremonies for first the World Championships in Shoe Patina, and then Shoemaking.
