Ten years ago I shared a picture from the vintage shoe store Chart in Koenji, an area in Tokyo that is filled with vintage shoes, vintage clothes and other vintage goods. During my last visit in the city I went back, and of course hade to visit Chart and its sibling store Whistler again.
This image is from the Chart store, where I found my vintage Swedish Oscaria boots I shared a while back. Literally hundreds of vintage shoes are lined up all around the store, much American stuff but also from a bunch of other countries. It’s always inspiring to visit these places, and just browse around to see different styles and different ways to make stuff that’s been used through the years.
