These very old Foster & Son bespoke shoes are not the classic black bleached ones the brand is known for, but the bleaching from the original colour is even more than those examples. It’s not much left of the original dark brown colour, mainly due to many decades in their shop window.
British brand Foster & Son now runs a sale on their whole stock of RTW shoes from their own Northampton factory, with a 40% discount. Lots of models and also many sizes available in many cases, some great bargains to be made of these very well-made RTW shoes.
The first big player in the classic shoe industry that might fall due to corona seems to be British Foster & Son. They closed their factory this summer, now they are according to unconfirmed info to close their Jermyn Street store where their bespoke workshop has been based as well. One of the lovely things with famous bespoke shoemakers launching RTW ranges is that the beautiful last shapes of some of the most famous lastmakers becomes more accessible. The latest in line is Foster & Son who has used bespoke lasts by legendary lastmaker Terry Moore as base for their RTW lasts. The Swedish store Skoaktiebolaget today launches its latest addition to the brand flora in the store, nothing less than British Foster & Son, which this year opened the first new shoe factory in over a decade in British Northampton. Premium shoes of the finest kind is what it’s all about.

Tomorrow, October 25th, on the shoemaking saint Saint Crispin’s day, British bespoke shoemaker Foster & Son opens its new RTW factory, becoming the first new shoe factory in Northampton since 2006. This is part of increased international ambitions for its RTW shoes .
The British bespoke shoemaker Foster & Son is famous four their sun bleeched shoes. What started with sample shoes that had been standing in the shop window for decades and been bleeched which customers asking to buy similar shoes, has become a signum for the brand since they also started doing it in an artificial way. The shoes pictured above have all been naturally bleeched by the sun though.
