News - Bridlen introduces a RTW range

The Indian brand Bridlen have always manufactured all their shoes on a Made to Order basis, to be able to offer a really wide selection of styles, sizes and widths. Now they introduce a new RTW range as a complement, for those who want to have their order shipped immediately.

I’ve previously praised the type of MTO service that Bridlen offers. Since they own their own factory they can have very short lead times on production and sell MTO without an upcharge, with delivery within 3-4 weeks, but still with the possibility of exchanges and returns. This means that they don’t need to carry a lot of expensive inventory, and can offer more styles and widths. However, as the brand have grown and sell larger numbers, they now felt that it was time to also introduce a regular RTW range, not to take over their regular MTO offering, but to complement it.

The range consists of some of their most popular models, which all are Goodyear welted with the old-school technique that Bridlen is known for, where the welt stitch is done directly to a thick leather insole instead of the otherwise standard glued on canvas rib called gemming. A few oxfords, a few loafers, and a derby. All are made to the Main line standard and priced at an impressive €230 / $250.
