The biggest sales period of the year is here. Well, nowadays it starts earlier and earlier, more of a Black Month than a Friday with the following weekend, but nonetheless it’s first today that everyone who do a sale this period has opened up theirs. And there’s plenty of good ones for shoe lovers, here’s a list of some of them.
The huge shoe event in London is back for its sixth instalment, on Saturday May 4. There’ll be 14 shoe and menswear companies from around the globe exhibiting, a marketplace for second hand shoes, a free shoe shining service, plus the finals of the world championships of shoe shining, shoe patina and shoemaking. The Italian brand Stefano Bemer has just introduced a new innovation within the world of classic footwear, where an NFC tag embedded in the shoe makes it possible for customers to scan any shoe with a smartphone and apart from regular product info also find info on the specific materials used, where it’s sourced and so on.
