Soon it’s time for another great event in Stockholm, when the fifth edition of the Shoegazing Super Trunk Show will take place on Saturday September 29th. On the exhibition floor this year you will find Skolyx (Skolyx/Yanko/TLB), Vass, Japan Shoes Export Platform (Miyagi Kogyo/Matsumoto/Kiten), Heinrich Dinkelacker, Jan Kielman and Gaziano & Girling. In addition there will be the Swedish Championships in Shoe Shining, seminar about the fit of shoes, and the new Shoegazing Market – a second hand marketplace for second hand quality shoes.
The Swedish online store Skolyx now launches its own Private Label brand with shoes for €200, plus the new Spanish brand TLB in the mid-range segment. Both really interesting newcomers, and they will be showcased to the world for the first time at the London Super Trunk Show next week.
Another super trunk has passed, and once again we are very happy with the day. Over 700 people visited the event, over 100 pairs of shoes were bought for a value of about €35 000 (and many more orders placed the following days). Here’s a summary of the day in text and picture.
It’s nice to see that new interesting manufacturers are constantly appearing in the entry-level segments of classic quality shoes, and one of them is the online shop Herrstil’s own brand Myrqvist. Goodyear welted shoes with good specifications for €210. Shoegazing has tested them.

We are pleased to present this year’s edition of the Shoegazing Super Trunk Show in Stockholm Saturday September 2. This year we focus a bit more on Swedish online companies, the line-up will be Myrqvist (Herrstil), Yanko (Skolyx), The Sabot (also with Andrés Sendra, Antonio Meccariello and Yohei Fukuda), Jan Kielman and Hiro Yanagimachi. Plus Swedish Championships in Shoe Shining, shoe care workshop and an open Q&A with people from the shoe industry.
Today the Swedish shoe store Skoaktiebolaget launched its latest addition to their brand flora- Italian Paolo Scafora – with a trunk show with the brand. Scafora makes hand welted shoes of very high standard, and has both RTW, MTO and bespoke.
Tonight the Swedish shoe store Skoaktiebolaget has its official grand opening for its new premises at Nybrogatan 23 in Stockholm, where they presented their latest addition to the brand flora: John Lobb Paris.
Finally it’s time for the webshop Herrstil to make their launch of its collection of Goodyear welted shoes under the brand Myrqvist. With a price tag of €200 it’s an interesting alternative in the lower price range of quality shoes.
Project TWLV is a new Swedish/Italian quality footwear brand in the upper midrange segment, which makes Blake/Rapid stitched and Goodyear welted boots. Founded by two people with extensive experience from the shoe industry’s more fashion-oriented area, which now use their knowledge and contacts from this to get the brand widely spread.
